1979年，加入乐队Clannad，担任键盘手。
1982年，因厌倦乐队的流行取向而离开Clannad。后与乐队Nicky Ryan及Roma Ryan（作词人）组成3人创作群，继续开创个人事业。
1986年，为电影《青蛙王子》写配乐，开始个人音乐生涯；同年，为纪录片《The Celts》做配乐；随后，发行原声专辑《Enya》。
1988年，发行首张个人专辑《Watermark》；随后，先后发行了《Shepherd Moons》、《The Memory Of Trees》、《Paint The Sky With Stars》等多首歌曲。
1991年，发行第二张个人专辑《Shepherd Moons》（牧羊人之月）。
1994年，歌曲《Marble Halls"》被电影《The Age of Innocence》选作插曲。
1995年11月，推出专辑《The Memory Of Trees》。
1997年，发行第一张精选辑《The Best Of ENYA-Paint the Sky with Stars》；之后，又发行3碟装礼盒CD《The box of dream》梦幻音乐盒。
2000年，发行专辑《A Day Without Rain》。
2001年，为《指环王》制作并演唱主题曲《May It Be》；4月，单曲《野孩子》被选作浪漫电影《甜蜜11月》的主题曲。
2005年，发行专辑《Amarantine》。
2008年11月10日，发行专辑《And Winter Came》。
2009年11月，发行二十年精选专辑《The Very Best of Enya》。
2015年11月20日，发行专辑《Dark Sky Island》。
